Transfer of Network to Liverpool
The management of the Solar Fuels Network was taken over by the University of Liverpool December 2020 with Professor Alex Cowan as the new Director, supported by Dr Glenda Wall as project manager and administrator.
Although 2020 was not what any of us had expected, we are beginning to find new ways of working. Amongst these has been the switch to online meetings and it was fantastic to see so many people from around the world join us for the 8th UK Solar Fuels Network Symposium in December. Planning for the 9th meeting is already underway and we are grateful to Dr Sebastian Sprick at the University of Strathclyde for chairing the event on 9th and 10th September 2021.
2021 marks an important year for Solar Fuels research, with COP26 also being held in Glasgow in November. Alongside the main negotiations COP26 will also act as an important showcase for new technologies. One of the great joys of the UK Solar Fuels Community has been the way that we come together to represent our field and we look forward to working with you in the coming years.
